INFORMATION ;; recently, beau has found himself quite smitten with this lovely girlie. they could have met at school? though he isn't enrolled. regardless of where, they were both put under a spell. see, she knows that beau is different, there's just something about him that she can't quite put her finger on. as for beau, well, he's drawn to the girl's uniqueness, but also the fact that she's like him in a way. they're both lost souls, discarded children left in the hands of fate. it's safe to say that beau fell rather quickly for her, and has since become slightly obsessive. having never felt that sort of love before, he isn't exactly in control of those emotions quite yet. still, he would kill to make her happy. literally. despite hanging out often, they both know very little about each other's lives. she isn't aware, but beau can't remember most of his life. he gets glimpses every now and again, but never the whole picture. with that being said, i think it would be interesting if he were to eventually pull the girl into a hallucination unintentionally, maybe accessing that part of his memory of something. anyways, that's gist of it. feel free to make suggestions and whatnot!

INFORMATION ;; chey was born in 1915, seven years before her little brother. things started out pretty normal, at least until beau came around. her father ran his own practice, while her mother spent most days intoxicated. due to her drunken state, there was often no one caring for the infant child. that's where chey stepped in, despite being a kid herself, she looked after beau from the very start. they were extremely close, they did everything together. chey was his older sister, but she viewed beau as her own child. his well-being was placed far above her own, just as any mother would do. at night when he would scream out for her, chey crawled into his bed, stroking his blonde hair while humming a gentle lullaby in order to make him fall back asleep. beau was only five when the visions came, hallucinations that he failed to mention to chey. instead, he turned to their mother, who in turn believed that her son had been possessed by the devil. in order to cleanse her boy, their mother, elinor, would submerge him in a tub of water, to the point of him losing consciousness. this went on for years, thus forming beau's severe phobia of water.
chey had her own problems at the time, which is why she never truly caught onto her mother's harsh treatment. see, cheyenne was a victim of rape, thanks to their father. she kept it a secret for quite some time, until beau managed to catch on. due to their father's abusive streak, chey wanted to protect her brother, to ensure that he wouldn't get punished more than usual. instead, beau sought out a demon and made a deal. he wanted protection, but not for himself. he sold his soul in order to keep chey safe, to make sure that nothing bad would ever happen to her. the next time that chey saw beau, a massacre had taken place within their family home. their mother's body was draped over the bathtub, having been forcefully drowned. their father had been dismembered, blood soaking into the carpet and walls. standing among the brutality was beau, painted in crimson red. despite the terror she felt, chey fell to the ground, holding beau in her arms as she broke down in sobs. he was eventually taken away, ripped right from chey's arms. following her brother, she eventually took up a nurse position within the hospital. chey bared witness to their psychotic treatments, having tried to fight them on the whole shock therapy ordeal. however, she knew nothing about the lobotomy beau underwent. long story short: after the procedure, beau lost most of his memories, including chey. he couldn't remember who she was. after that, using his little gift with insanity, beau caused an uproar throughout the patients, sparking a full on riot. hundreds were slaughtered, including chey. someone had slit her throat right in front of beau's eyes. however, despite believing that she had died, chey survived the injury. she isn't sure how beau died, she couldn't find his body among the wreckage.
recently, beau has mysteriously made an appearance in her life again. being both overjoyed and terrified, chey is hesitant on asking questions. since then the two have more or less found a new family, a group of magicians. or rather, con-artists. everyone has their own role within the group. while beau is a sleight of hand, chey is an escape artists. they aren't your regular performers, though. no, while your eyes are fixed on their tricks, they're simply robbing you blind. chey, however, refuses to take part in the more criminal aspect of it all. there's more information in beau's application!

INFORMATION ;; this beauty here is the current fortune teller for the magician act. she's basically free reign, aside from a few ideas. firstly, her species is up to you. i was thinking that she had the gift of sight, but perhaps she dabbles in necromancy as well? as for her personality, it could go one of two ways: either she's a gentle soul, or a manipulative schemer. then again, she could also be both. maybe the girl is tainted? depends which route you want to take. regardless, she's been living with a broken heart, suffering from the pain of loss. she was once blessed with a beautiful baby boy, but her child was taken from her somehow. perhaps killed in a tragic accident? maybe it was her fault? since the death of her baby, she's been wandering the earth, searching for a reason to carry on, somewhere that she belonged. that's when she stumbled upon the group of magicians, and beau. i'm thinking that beau reminds her of her poor baby boy, even baring the same light blond hair. in turn, beau would view this woman as a mother figure. since he killed his own mother, beau's been trying to mend that bond, craving the love he never got as a child, despite not remembering his past. basically, he would do almost anything for this lady, to make her proud/gain her acceptance. i could also see this bringing on some jealousy from his sister, since she's been the one raising him from the start. again, the fortune teller could have pure intentions, or they could be tainted. regardless, beau would kill to make her happy.

INFORMATION ;; this here is the leader of their little operation. he found each of them and basically took them in, starting with the mentalist and eventually adding on. you could say that he treats these kids as if they were his own, and they look up to him like a father. they might look like innocent street performers, but in reality, they're criminals. the crowds are often robbed blind, being too caught up in the magic of it all. but, there is more too it than just theft. maybe kai wants more? maybe he's seeking out a way to strip these innocent audience members of their souls? totes open to whatever. beau is on to him, but the rest are pretty much oblivious.

INFORMATION ;; this guy is basically free reign, from his personality to his history. it's up to you when he met mordecai, but i assume he's grown close to the man over the years. within their little group of performers, he acts as the mentalist/hypnotist. he likes to have fun with his abilities, and often uses them to out certain people, such as liars or cheaters. the whole criminal aspect doesn't bother him all that much, he views it as survival. after all, they definitely don't get paid enough for magic tricks. i could see him and beau maybe butting heads every now and again? or possibly even competing while they perform, see who can come out with the most valuables, or something? other than that, he's all yours!
